The iPhone Myth: Mobile Web a throwback to the ’90s

Interesting article in USA Today on Jakob Nielsen’s group (NNG) research on the mobile web. Their results show it is much slower and less accurate to use the web on a mobile device:

A study to be released Monday by the researchers €” they €™re product €śusability €ť experts — found that the average success rate in completing various tasks on the mobile Internet is just 59%, compared to an average success rate of 80% for websites on a regular PC.

I spend all day on the computer, totally connected. When I’m away and using my cell phone, I’d rather just talk to someone than use my phone as a web browser.
